Privacy policy
Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 (NDPA / NDPR successor).
RSU MicroCert is the data controller for this instance. We process account, affiliation, enrolment, assessment, payment reference and credential data in order to deliver continuing professional development and to let employers verify awards.
Legal bases: contract (enrolment and learning), legitimate interests (platform security and audit), and consent where you opt into organisational cohorts. We do not sell personal data.
Credentials are retained so verification remains possible. Account and assessment records are kept for the life of the programme plus a reasonable archive period set by CPD. You may request access, correction or erasure via the Centre for Continuing Education, subject to the university’s need to keep a public verification record of issued awards.
Processors may include email (Resend/Postmark), payments (Paystack), and object storage. Production deployments should keep Nigerian personal data in-region where required. Audit events record who enrolled, paid, issued or revoked a credential.
Contact CPD at Rivers State University for data-protection requests. You may also lodge a complaint with the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.
